From ancient times to the invention of the printing press and engraving, there has been a long and rich tradition of multiple printing in the history of art. Atlantic12 follows in this tradition and publishes fine art prints mostly of the famous Belgian illustrator François Schuiten, using a range of reproduction techniques including offset, silkscreen and digigraphy (pigment printing).

We only work with professional partners, locally, and each printed image is the fruit of in-depth editorial reflection, in terms of the choice of visual, printing technique, print run, format and medium.

All editions are limited editions, numbered and signed, produced under the exacting artistic supervision of the authors who validate each stage of the publishing and printed on a range of Fine Art, acid-free and Archive-quality papers.

Atlantic12 also collaborates with Luc Schuiten, a visionary architect and utopian at the forefront of plant-based urban planning, with Romain Renard, a brilliant comic strip artist and illustrator, and with Alain Goffin, an illustrator, colourist and graphic designer, contemporary and long-time friend of François Schuiten.

Note: please keep in mind that it is difficult to reproduce the rendering of an image on a digital screen. In reality, images are always more beautiful not only to the eye but also to the touch of the paper and the scent of the inks. To compensate for this bias and to observe the images as faithfully as possible to reality, this site often presents photos of the prints when they are signed and sometimes in situ, framed. But again, these are just photos. There's nothing like seeing them with your own eyes to fully appreciate them.
